The Habs Do It Again

After several years out of the playoffs, the Bruins looked incredibly tired tonight in a 5-0 loss to the Habs.  This followed an amazing Bruin home performance on Saturday (a 5-4 victory) that included three one goal comebacks (1-0; 2-0; and 3-0). 

Tim Thomas was a bright spot and captain Zdeno Chara is a stud on defense, so we'll take this game 7 loss very tough (and after several shots of tequila to try and wash it away), but will carry hope into next season because of the energy of this team through most of the second half of the season and 5 of the 7 playoff games. 

If only it wasn't those bastards from Montreal again!

Wine and Cheesers go home!

Tyler Hypes-borough and his Tar Heel pals are gone.  Good riddance to the great white hope.  Along with most of those outside of North Carolina, I'm glad to see the All-American go home without a title.  Good luck to him in the Italian league (a la Danny Ferry) because he won't be a force in the NBA.

Today's Final Four games were dominated by two very quick teams.  It should be an entertaining final game.  UCLA was overrun by a very fast, cohesive Memphis team that was supposed to be the last of the top seeds and the worst free throw shooters, but today they proved their worth outside of Conference USA (not that beating Texas was small potatoes).

I'm sad for UCLA in their one Love season, but Memphis is the real deal.

Goodbye Wine and Cheesers - i'm not even remotely sad about that loss!!
